We began the March Inngoers with a question for our readers: Should
we render links in this newsletter in 'clickable' form for America
Online readers, or just let readers copy and paste links in their
browsers as before? Response, as they say, was overwhelming. While
a few who are not AOL users wrote to say they don't want the links,
the AOL folks are solidly in favor of keeping them. With this month's

The March contest was very popular, receiving a total of 1902
entries. Our tiebreaker question was, 'At The Hawkesdene House how
many guests went on a llama trek during the year 2000?' The answer
to the tiebreaker question was 214 guests who took llama treks.
Four contestants guessed exactly 214, and of those, Donna M. of
Raleigh, North Carolina was randomly chosen as the winner. Donna wins
a gift certificate for two nights' lodging at The Hawkesdene House Bed
& Breakfast - Andrews, NC. Congratulations!

The April 2001 contest is sponsored by The Triangle Ranch Bed &
Breakfast - Philip, SD. The 78 year old inn building is a 'kit' home
purchased from Sears Roebuck in 1923, and shipped to the nearest rail
depot in Cottonwood, nine miles away. It took two weeks to move all the
pieces by horse and wagon to the homesite. There it was assembled where
the original log homestead had stood, a 'Spanish castle in the midst of
the South Dakota plains.' The Triangle Inn is listed in the National
Register of Historic Places, and offers 4 guest rooms, a bunkhouse
-themed carriage house that sleeps 6, and accommodations for horses.
