For those people who have the desire to stay "somewhere else", we invite you to spend time with us in our century-old home. The Washington Street Inn, of Queen Anne architecture, was built in 1896. The land on which the Inn sits was bought from the U.S. Government in 1835, when Andrew Jackson was president.

When you enter The Washington Street Inn, you will notice the art of master woodworkers. The staircase, the two fireplace mantels and doorways are all made of cherry. Walnut, butternut, and other hardwoods are used throughout the Inn. The foyer, living room, dining room and the kitchen all have hardwood floors.

Four guest rooms are located on the second floor with shared baths. Each guest room has its own romantic style. Three of the rooms have queen sized beds and one has a full sized bed. All guest rooms have TV, clock radio and telephones.

Also on the second floor is a study area with books, magazines, games and information on local attractions. A guest kitchen is also upstairs and contains a full size refrigerator, microwave oven, and a table and chairs for the use of the guests. There is a large front porch on which to relax and a fenced-in backyard with sitting areas to relax in.

A continental or full breakfast is served based on individual requests.

Rates: Our rates are $75 plus tax, per room, per night. Business travelers are welcomed. Breakfast is included in the rate. Weekly rates and gift certificates are available. Rates are subject to change and to availability. Rates are higher for holidays and special events.
