This 1836 Swedish design log house was one of the first settled homes in Elkhart County. Built by Judge Elias Baker on land titled by Andrew Jackson, this 2 story house constructed of native hardwood logs is as solid as when constructed in the pre civil war years of Abraham Lincoln.

Redecorated and restored with modern conveniences, our B & B is uniquely situated in a quite country setting centered in the Elkhart County tourist area and the heart of Amish - Mennonite Country. Your breakfast may consist of a tasty quiche or walnut and cracked wheat pancakes served with fruit, other baked goods and dessert.
Stay in our popular Honeymoon Cottage or try our Hensel room with balcony, on the top floor overlooking our lawns and gardens.
