Florence Nightingale Suite with Jacuzzi Florence Nightingale Suite
No woman of the last half of the 19th century period had a greater impact on medical history than did Florence Nightingale. She was the mother of modern nursing. A painting of her is on display, in her suite. Sue Green owned and lived in the mansion for some 40 years. She headed the American Red Cross in New Albany for 37 years and was a great niece of Florence Nightingale. A hand-carved queen size cherry rice bed with lace canopy adorns her suite. A white marble jaccuzi has recently been added to this suite. $150
