... picturesque with its majestic 10,000 square foot red banked barn, red brick sidewalks, traditional windmill, all of this enclosed by a classic white wooden picket fence.

The history of the Inn extends over a 160 year period. Originally built in 1840 by a pioneer farmer, the house precedes the establishment of Nappanee in 1874. By the turn of the century it had acquired the name "buffalo farm" during a time when the bison were characteristic of the area. The barn echoes with a history of its own as many of the surrounding Amish families once attended church here.

Today the original farmhouse still exists, after having endured restorations two decades ago to preserve its historical character. Also at that time, additional rooms were constructed to surround the original part of the house, thus providing the modern conveniences of today, including wireless, high speed internet access.

Enjoy the ambience of the basement game room, complete with a 1950's jukebox. Relax on the patio and watch the hummingbirds. Curl up with a book in the library or play a game of Scrabble. Take a walk in our perennial gardens and watch the squirrels play or the butterflies in the flowers. How about a movie on the big screen TV?

Wake up to the aroma of gourmet coffee and enjoy one of our house specialties such as Orange Almond French Toast. It's sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped off with our local maple syrup.
