Timmermann House Bed & Breakfast - Aviston, Illinois

The Timmermann House Bed & Breakfast is located in the tranquility of over 100 acres of Clinton County farmland. Still the distant sounds of train whistles and the bells of Aviston's St. Francis church can be heard. Be welcomed into the home with a serene setting and furnishing of antiques and collectibles in which you will feel comfortable and at home.

Hot Tub
Relax in the Hot Tub! 		Each guest room (click here for room pictures, descriptions and rates) is supplied with plush robes for lounging or a visit to the hot tub. A massage therapist is available by appointment. A small refrigerator is also at your disposal, and cookies are always on the kitchen counter.

Check Availability

Relax as you stroll through the gardens or curl up with a good book or magazine in one of three common areas. During the cold winter weather snuggle in front of a wood burning fireplace with a view of the patio , water garden and vista of beautiful acreage. A video library of over 225 movies is at your disposal as are games and playing cards.

Breakfast is an experience not a meal at the Timmermann House. If you are an early riser, enjoy a hot beverage of your choice while watching the sun rise from the living room or on the back patio. A full breakfast is included in all room rates and served seven days a week. Breakfast includes: juice, hot beverages, fruit, home made coffee-cake or muffins, and special entrée prepared and served to each guest! Dining Room

During your stay a horse drawn carriage or wagon ride through Clinton County's beautiful
countryside can be enjoyed. Please inquire when you make your reservation.

  • Aviston - offers a park with tennis courts, two ball diamonds and pavilions and a paved walking path around the park.
  • Hidden Lake Winery is located 4 miles from Timmermann House.
  • Breese - offers Bent Oak, a 9 hole public golf course, [3] three parks, one that sports a public pool and outdoor theater for plays during the summer months, Clinton County Showcase and numerous specialty shops. Breese is also the home of Excel Botteling, the makers of Ski.
  • Carlyle - located 10 miles east, has the largest man made lake (Carlyle Lake) in the state of Illinois. The lake is excellent for sailing, fishing and boating. Pontoon, paddle boat & jet ski rentals are also offered. Two 18 hole golf courses, Governors Run has an 18 hole championship course and an 18 hole par 3 lighted course. Bretz Wildlife Lodge & Winery.
  • Lebanon - 12 miles west, offers a main street full of antique and specialty shops. Also McKendree College and The Looking Glass Playhouse.

  • Germantown - Annual Germantown Spassfest
  • Trenton - Trenton House Restaurant & J-H Bison Ranch, Unique shops.

  • Crooked Creek Winery and Black Diamond Winery are within 1/2 hour.
  • Belleville - 30 minutes to the west, is home to the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows.
    Eckert's Country Store & Farm, Labor and Industry Museum
  • Fairview Heights - 25 minutes west is home to St. Clair Square the largest shopping mall in Southwestern Illinois, antique and craft malls, over 75 dining options.
  • Madison - 30 minutes to the west, is home to Gateway International Raceway.
  • World Shooting Complex - 40 minutes
