The Steamboat House is open year-round, and is centrally heated and air conditioned. With private off-street guest parking at the mansion, the historic town of Galena is only a short walk away. Eighty-five percent of the area is on the National Historic Register and there are many reasons for Galena's designation as the second largest tourist city in Illinois.
