Located among stately homes and towering trees, just a couple of blocks away from the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, and fifteen miles from the Rend Lake Recreation Complex you can do what your heart desires. From hiking, boating, water skiing, golfing, to just reading and relaxing there are endless possibilities! |

Cedarhurst Center for the Arts inhabits a 90-acre site where the arts are celebrated year-round! Rolling meadows, woods and lake feature over 50 large scale sculptures by such noted artists as Fletcher Benton, Chakaia Booker, Martha Enzmann, and Tova Beck-Friedman. The Mitchell Museum offers three art galleries. Prized works by Mary Cassatt, William Glakens, Robert Henri, Childe Hassam, and Maurice Prendergrast are part of the new Permanent Collection Gallery. The complex is also home to a 27-hole championship golf course. The Southern Illinois Artisans Shop and Visitors Center offer creations by Illinois artists. GenKota Winery sits on a gentle hill overlooking its own vineyard. Guests can sit on the wraparound deck and sip award wining wines manufactured on site. Golf Courses are plentiful in Southern Illinois.
