Introduction

Pheasant Valley Farms - Fillmore, Illinois Pheasant Valley Farms is nestled in the rolling hills of Central Illinois in a rural farming community between Hillsboro and Fillmore. The farmhouse on Deer Trail has a tale to tell you. While renovating it we found newspapers from 1897 insulating the walls. In the attic we could see the remaining roof of a 2-room log cabin. This was probably a hunter's cabin. Please see the booklet in your cottage with some of the newspaper articles and history of the lady that lived in this house.

You will stay in your own farmhouse that sleeps up to 4 people. The bedroom has a full size antique bed, and the living room has a comfortable sofa-sleeper for 2. Another full size bed can be arranged in the roomy summer kitchen. There is an antique buck stove to warm you at night. Firewood is provided. You may want to relax in the antique claw footed tub, or shower in the quaint bathroom. You will step back in time when you enter the spacious country kitchen. Memories of your grandparent's kitchen will follow you as you notice the antique gas stove and memorabilia throughout the house.

Modern conveniences are also provided with microwave, toaster oven, electric grill, refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker. The house has central air conditioning and heat. Satellite TV is provided in the cozy living room. Relax in the large bay window and watch the sunrise. The large front porch has an antique porch swing made in the 1800s. It has been in John's family and handed down to him from his great grandfather. The rockers are for your enjoyment as you listen to the birds and star gaze at night. The stars are much brighter out in the country away from the city lights. Enjoy a campfire and roast marshmallows. Escape for a while away from the pressures of everyday life.

Pheasant Valley Farms offers you your own 4 room farmhouse which comfortably sleeps 4 guests. An additional sleeping arrangement can be made in the large summer kitchen area.
