For a secluded getaway come to the country! Enjoy a romantic night sleeping in front of a huge fireplace or stroll through acres of gardens and woods. All buildings date from 1820 thru 1870 and have been dismantled from original sites in Southern Illinois, from the Ohio River to the Mississippi River, and reconstructed on our private ranch in beautiful Southern Illinois.

Within 30 minutes of Olde Squat you’ll find the rugged canyons and steep rocky bluffs of the Shawnee National Forest, lakes, parks, fishing, hunting, hiking, horseback riding, swimming, golf courses, malls, many many antique shops, arts & crafts, wineries, SIU, and the scenic wonders in the Garden of the Gods.
