| Pets Welcome |
| We love animals at The Irish Inn! Three cats and a three-legged black Labrador Retriever make their home with us, namely Seamus Chasemouseky, Cleopatrick, Tabby Tiger, and Augustus Caesar (known fondly as “Gus”). Animals are welcome at many of the nature sites, wineries, and walking with your dogs on the Tunnel Hill State Trail is something you must do while in Southernmost Illinois. We have many animal stories to tell when you visit, such as the chronicles of an elegant St. Louis poodle, the dog who ended up in a well but was saved by another dog, the diving Joliet dogs, bird visitors from Atlanta, a mancoon from Manchester, and the St. Bernard from Cleveland, Ohio who decided to take a swim right before the long drive home, and the visitors from the Far East who brought their pet birds. We have a kennel available for your dog(s), and pet-sitting can be arranged if you would like a romantic night out on your own. |
