 Here is a view of The Irish Inn from the far side of our well-stocked pond. This pond is great for those just learning to fish, and experienced fishing experts will love to try and land the two grandpa bass (five and six pounders). They have been hooked, but never landed! |

Whether you are traveling during the week or enjoying a special weekend or holiday, you will never forget your stay at The Irish Inn. The Irish Inn offers a wee bit of Europe in the Shawnee National Forest near the Tunnel Hill State Bicycle Trail, Bellsmith Springs, Burden Falls, Dixon Springs, Ferne Clyffe, Jackson Hollow, Jackson Falls, wineries (Hogg Hollow, Bella Terra, Windy Hill, Cache River Basin), Lake Glendale, the Ohio River, Trigg Tower, Lusk Creek Canyon, Millstone Bluff, Indian Kitchen, and other beautiful natural sites. Stay in a stone and log chalet, comfortably cool in summer with blazing log fires in winter. You will enjoy the company of a genuine Belfast-born innkeeper, and there is no extra charge for the blarney, storytelling, and good Irish luck. |

The inn features antique furnishings, a huge great room with masonry fireplace, luxurious super king-sized beds for extra dreamy sleeps (synthetic available if you have allergies), luxurious draperies, forest and pond views, comfortable sitting and meeting areas, television with VCR and DVD player, satellite TV, high-speed wireless internet, small refrigerator, outside grill, walk-in shower, whirlpool tub, and other European features. You can elope to the Irish Inn and get married over the weekend or plan your dream wedding for up to 25 guests here. A Christian (Protestant) minister, Native American, Humanist, or judicial official will be arranged to perform your ceremony in one of the magnificent nature areas nearby or in the inn. We welcome those having small family reunions, anniversaries, honeymoons, and all couples seeking relaxing romantic weekends. Children, families, and pets are welcome here, and we will babysit or petsit for you. We have a kennel available for your dog, and there are lovely walks for you to take with your pet. |

| We dare you to finish our full Irish breakfasts served when you want them each morning. Some people call our special Irish sausages "bangers," and they meet a country ham steak, pork chops, bacon (Irish or American), two, three, or more eggs, sautéed mushrooms, Moore potatoes, and fried tomatoes on your breakfast plate. Add special breads, jams, juices, coffee, and morning Irish tea (strong breakfast tea with cream and sugar), and you have a hearty start to the day! |

The Irish Inn is a wireless hot spot, and we can arrange a whole office for long-term visitors, but between the natural beauty here, romance in the air, and the well-practiced lively art of conversation most guests like a break from the electronic world. Bring your steaks or other groceries to prepare your dinners here (gas grill and full modern kitchen available for dinner preparation), or ask about dining options in the area. Picnic luncheons or special dinners can be arranged for you as well. Let us know your preferences, and we will do our best to have everything arranged to suit your needs and tastes. Transportation or rental cars can be arranged for guests arriving by Amtrak (Carbondale), air (Marion), or by BART (St. Louis to Marion). The Irish Inn is an Amtrak rail tourism partner. |

This large suite is fit for a Laird or Queen Maeve herself. It features a king-sized feather bed, sitting area, walk-in closet, half-size refrigerator, whirlpool tub, walk-in shower, bedet, satellite television, VCR/DVD player, and wireless internet capability. Draperies and bed linens change from time to time depending upon the whimsy of our Irish innkeeper. This suite is ideal for honeymoon or anniversary couples or any couple looking for privacy, rest, and romance. This suite is spacious with beautiful views of pond and forest, and the comfortable loveseat and double ottoman is perfect for lounging while watching your favorite channels or movies. Call ahead to have us fill the room with flowers, champagne, or gifts to please your loved one or send a photo by email for us to blowup and display in the room ahead of time! A small private dining table can be set up in the Dublin Castle Suite if you would prefer your breakfast en suite. |
These sunny and pleasant rooms look out on the Shawnee National Forest from the highest points of our chalet. One bedroom has a California king-sized bed and a duvet for the ultimate in warmth and softness, and a second bedroom has a luxurious king-sized bed is for couples who like the extra room. Two televisions and DVD players are provided, along with a chest of drawers, antique furnishings, sitting area, a small refrigerator, and spacious closets. This roomy suite is perfect for business travelers needing a comfortable landing after long travel, couples on a romantic holiday, or familes needing to be housed together on one floor. Enjoy the forest views while reading a novel; lie in bed and watch a film; or enjoy the sounds of the night in the arms of the one you love. Hikers, bicyclists, climbers, golfers, and holiday travelers find the Tipperary Tower suite a pleasant place to settle in after days of sight-seeing, festivals, and other fun and tiring activities. |
