The Mississippi River, Coralridge Mall, Wildcat Den and Palisades Kepler State Parks, not to mention the beautiful Iowa countryside are calling you home to Pines On The Prairie Bed and Breakfast!

Private baths, micro-kitchenettes, in-room Iowa country breakfasts, spacious rooms, a parlor with a baby grand piano plus a cozy sofa and loveseat, all add to your comfort. We offer lots of games, old magazines and books, a gift shop featuring local area artists and crafters, in-room music and Gramma Violet's chocolate chip cookies for snackin'. Not to mention luxurious pillow top mattresses complete with down comforters to ensure a restful night's sleep, and that's just what's inside our inn!

There's no doubt about it, the best part of Iowa, is its beautiful rural charm. Our inn is nestled among the gently rolling hills of the Iowa prairie. Take a walk down our country road, and never meet a car. If you're quiet, you will see deer, rabbits, hawks, eagles, ground squirrels, and yes, a couple of our farm cats! In the barnyard meet some honest to goodness cows, sheep, chickens, a miniature horse, and even a goat! Enjoy a stroll on a native prairie trail and then roast marshmallows for s'mores on a campfire. Take in a beautiful sunset while sitting on the porch swing…later, gaze at the stars without the competition from city lights. If kids are part of your trip, they will love the tree house, play house and breathtaking tree swings!

The arrangement of our 1910 ‘Arts and Crafts’ style prairie home, provides all the comfort and privacy our guests require. A private front entrance and a first floor ‘parlor’ which is dedicated to our guests, supplies plenty of ‘space’. Our dining room is available for all-natural leisurely Iowa breakfast Iowa. Later, take a road trip on one of 3 self-guided motoring tours.
