Introduction
Fall under the spell of Volcano Teapot Cottage, an enchanting turn-of-the century board and batten cottage surrounded by whimsical gardens in the heart of Volcano Village on the Big Island of Hawaii. Nestled on 2 1/2 acres of upland elevation rainforest and surrounded by landscaped grounds of Camellia, Hydrangea, Hapu ferns, Ohia and Koa trees, this picturesque bed and breakfast cottage invites you to experience the Hawaii of a bygone era.
The cottage was built in the early 1900's by a prominent Hilo businessman for family and friends to spend their summers enjoying the cool mountain climate and the awesome eruption of Kilauea Volcano just three miles away. Bill and Antoinette Bullough have lovingly restored one of the village's oldest "plantation-style" homes. His gift for craftsmanship and her passion for afternoon tea have combined to create a magical bed and breakfast experience, ideal for romance, relaxation and renewal. Come and be a part of the Aloha spirit that flourishes in Volcano Village.
"I do not understand how anyone can live without one small place of enchantment to turn to." Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings
Each morning enjoy a relaxing breakfast consisting of homemade baked goods, tropical fruits and juices, an assortment of local coffees and countless varieties of teas. In the evening have a gourmet dinner delivered to your door by culinary chefs in the village. Candle light, fresh flowers, old-fashioned charm, a warm fireplace and the mystical seclusion of Volcano will be remembered always.
The Volcano Teapot Cottage is perfect for two on a romantic holiday or a small family looking for the true Hawaiian spirit. Aloha abounds here in this lovely forest retreat. For some travelers, the true spirit of Hawaii lies not only on its beaches or in its resort hotels, but also in quiet, out-of-the-way places where one can enjoy the pleasures of solitude and serenity.
"Our stay at the Volcano Teapot was truly delightful! It will be one of our fondest memories of our trip. We will see you again!"
