A few miles up the road from Volcano Rainforest Retreat is Kilauea Volcano, home of Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire. Hike, bike, or drive through the magnificent landscape at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. A half-hour drive toward the sea is historic Hilo town with its picturesque bay, waterfalls and botanical gardens. Check out the current activity at the volcano lava flow.

Shoji screen doors open to an inviting bedroom with queen bed and window seat. Two floor futons with bedding available for additional guests. Charming full kitchen with island dining area and views of the forest. Sky-lit bathroom with access to the outdoor bathhouse and private o'furo (soaking tub).
