A tranquil setting lush with native Ohia and Rose Apple trees and fragrant with exotic flowers of heliconia, ginger and anthuriums.

Take an enjoyable stroll around the gardens or just sit and relax or read a book in the new gazebo and spa overlooking the beautiful and peaceful scenery. Guests are often greeted with a spectacular sunrise or sunset view of Mauna Kea volcano, world's tallest mountain measured from base!

Aloha & Welcome to a unique and pleasant estate situated on 4-acres of secluded landscape lush with native Ohia and Rose Apple trees, a large manicured-lawn, a garden of exotic flowers, and a custom-designed 10,000 sq.ft. fish and lotus pond. This gated property offers a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere. On clear days, one can see the magnificent Mauna Kea mountain in the distance.

(20 minutes) and Hawaii Volcanoes National park (20 minutes).

Enjoy the rich cultural surroundings of this new and spacious 6,000 sq. ft. home of Big Island artist couple Jane and Linus Chao. The clean and comfortable accommodation offers King, Queen, or Twin-size beds with private and shared bathroom. At a 1200-ft. elevation, temperatures range from 85F (30C) during the day to 65F (18C) at night for a comfortable stay.

Awaken to the fresh, gentle breeze of tradewinds and sounds of native birds outside your window. Watch the sun take its morning path down the slopes of Mauna Kea from the bright and roomy dining room, while feasting on a gourmet breakfast of Kona coffee, a variety of fine tea, tropical juices, fresh island fruits, delicious Hawaiian sweet bread, Hawaiian passion fruit, papaya, or pineapple jam and a special daily menu from Chef Jane.

There is also a private art gallery throughout the Residence, exhibiting the hosts'
versatility in oil, acrylic, watercolor and oriental brush paintings.

Guests are welcome to stroll or jog the 430-yard lane encircling the estate, or simply lounge in the sun and enjoy the magnificent view of the mountains. A large sitting room with TV, an art studio... 10,000 Sq. Feet, Custom-Designed Fish and Lotus Pond and a billiard table are available for the guests' enjoyment. Guests are welcome to go fishing in the 10,000 sq. feet, custom-designed fish and lotus pond right on the estate!
For guests' convenience, there is ample car parking space on the gated property. Guests can store their own food and drinks in the guest refrigerator. Hot water is available throughout the day for making coffee or tea. Iron and ironing board are also available.

Bed & Breakfast Mountain View offers 4 bedrooms with private baths with beautiful views of the 4-acre garden and fish pond estate. The clean and comfortable bedrooms are tastefully decorated with many original artworks on display. A sense of serenity and tranquility awaits you after a long day of sightseeing the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. Guests can enjoy and relax in the new gazebo and spa, overlooking the tranquil fish pond, tea house and 4-acre garden estate. All bedrooms are located on the second floor.
