Welcome to Paradise

Mahalo Hawaiian Retreat on 10 lush acres, inspired by nature and guided by the spirit of the Big Island, is an eco-friendly facility where its homes, cottages and beautiful yoga studio provide the perfect surroundings for an experience you will always remember.

At 3500 feet elevation you'll find a perfect temperature all year long. You are only a few miles from the majestic Volcano National Park, 26 miles from the city of Hilo, and swimming/snorkeling are only 30 minutes to the east or west.

Mahalo means thank you from the heart and it is with this spirit of
gratitude that we welcome you to Mahalo Hawaiian Retreat and Lodge.

Whether you are on vacation, participate in one of our rejuvenating retreats, stay for a personal retreat, or organize your own retreat, your stay will inspire you long after you have departed.

Mahalo Hawaiian Retreat consists of 3 beautiful homes. Two homes have additional lofts and comfortable, spacious common areas. Each newly remodeled home is decorated with traditional Hawaiian style furniture, and a fully equipped kitchen. All accommodations include tropical fruit, delicious Hawaiian coffee, selection of fine teas and cereals.

Rates and Policies
  • 1 bedroom with private bath $125/night.
  • Entire house (exclusive) $220 - $450/night.
  • Rental of 2 houses $500 - $750/day (6 bedrooms, one loft, 5 bathrooms).
  • Rental of whole facility $995/day (8 bedrooms, 7 baths, 2 lofts, yoga studio).
  • Yoga/conference studio $50/day with rental; $100/day w/o rental.
  • There is a 2-night minimum stay, but we welcome one night stays ($45 additional fee).
  • Credit card is required to hold reservation, and accommodation charge will be applied at the beginning of the month preceding reservation date.
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Money Orders, Personal Checks.
  • Personal checks must be received within one week of phone confirmation.
  • Hawaii State and local taxes will apply (11.42%).
  • Check in: 3 pm; Check out: 11 am.
