The Inn At Kulaniapia Falls

Hilo, Hawaii

Lush Tropical 22 acre parcel 15 minutes from downtown Hilo featuring our own private 120 ft. waterfall.

Hilo, Hawaii (HI) Bed & Breakfast: Kulaniapia was built specifically as an Inn, so designing spaces that were comfortable, private, and quiet was a main concern. Guests have there own exterior covered staircase that leads to an entrance foyer, with the four guest rooms beyond. You'll notice an oriental style to the archetecture with upturned roofing and shoji style doors in the ohana room. This is where you'll find the guest tv, stereo, and wet bar. Our four guest rooms are well appointed, with sitting areas, private bath entirely finish in Itallian Marble, and private balconies that overlook the waterfall, the ocean, and all of Hilo Town.

A Hawaii you could only dream of
is now an adventure that you can experience.

Come to the hospitality of the Inn at Kulaniapia Falls, built exclusively as a Hawaiian Bed & Breakfast, featuring our own private 120 foot waterfall. The Inn is located on 22 lush, tropical acres with waterfalls, Bamboo Gardens, Hiking Trails and vistas of unrivaled pristine beauty.

"A wonderful Bed and Breakfast featuring
comfortable accommodations at a reasonable cost. Gentle trade winds,
reasonable rates, and quality ocean views."

Family Room We are situated on 22 lush acres just 15 minutes from downtown Hilo, and 20 minutes from the airport, at a very comfortable elevation of 850 feet. So close to town, yet our home is definitely in the country. Pheasant, Hawaiian hawks, owls and wild pigs are a common sight. The Inn is situated on the powerful Waiau River, the main tributary of the Wailuku River, the largest river on the island. "Kulaniapia" (heavenly strength) is the ancient Hawaiian name given to this waterfall, and when you see it, you will understand why. In addition to our namesake waterfall, we have three more tiered waterfalls that cascade in our Bamboo Garden area. There are barbecue facilities here for our guests to enjoy. The Bamboo Garden area, lower falls and swimming pond are available to our guests from sunrise to sunset. You never run out of things to do at Kulaniapia.

The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls was built specifically as a Bed & Breakfast; therefore designing spacious and comfortable accommodations for our guests was of the utmost importance. Each suite has a private bath entirely finished in Italian marble, a private balcony with panoramic ocean and waterfall views, and a comfortable sitting area.

Need to unwind and relax? Come to where Aloha is spoken. Discover the Big Island. We serve a full traditional breakfast of eggs, pastry, fresh island fruits, bagels and breads, homemade jams and jellies, juice, and plenty of our own blend of Kona Coffee.
