Introduction
At Kalaekilohana, the traditional comforts of a beautiful country inn are combined with a variety of opportunities to learn about Hawaii, its rich cultural arts and traditions, and the people that call Hawaii home.
We are centrally located for visiting all the points of interest from South Kona to Volcano, which encompasses the southern half of the island. We are ideally located for day travel to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to the east and Pu`uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park and Kealakekua to the west. Let us know and we can help you plan accommodations that will reduce your driving and increase your leisure. We are an excellent choice for return visitors and regular visitors looking to add some depth to their travels.

At Kalaekilohana the focus is on Hawaiian culture and the arts. For example, learn how to make a traditional lei or how to make a traditional woven basket. Of course, whether you are from another island or a distant shore, visiting the natural and cultural sites in our area is of great interest for most everyone. We can help with orientations on where to visit and what to see, including tips for the newcomer on being a respectful visitor.
One mile off Highway 11 on South Point Road, Kalaekilohana offers spacious suites with private bathrooms, private balconies, and an excellent island style breakfast. We're proud to have repeat customers and we hope to make you one as well. Aloha is our way.
