Hale Maluhia Country Inn (house of peace) is a Tropical Up-Country Garden of Eden. And has been constructed by the owner/contractor over thirty seven years on a near acre compound with big banyan and monkey pod shade trees and many fruit & nut trees with a serious attention to stone gardens, water falls and koi ponds. The Inn is a Kona Plantation style hide-a-way estate with deep concern for privacy and a touch of aloha from old Hawai'i. The bird feeder draws birds from miles around. Hale Maluhia includes four bed rooms and a virtual tree house cottage in a cluster of four buildings including the owners, family and staff space. The Japanese Oriental Spa has been designed with jade stone and ceramic tile and message jets. Common areas include a large reading and TV Room, a library - game room with Cable/TV/DVD/VCR and a large free movie library. Designed to emulate a historic and traditional Hawaiian Plantation House. |

This Inn is located in the heart of one of the world's best climates at a 1,000 foot elevation in the Holuala Coffee country and fruit belt. The Inn is only 11 miles to the KOA/Kona (Kailua-Kona International Airport) and is only 3 miles to either Kailua-Kona or Holualoa, truly a central location. Kona is a very special South Pacific recreational paradise with world class beaches, historical sites, world class fishing with lots to see and do. Kailua-Kona was the place of choice for the Alii (King and Queens) of old Hawai'i, the sunny side of the Big Island of Hawaii. |

| Banyan Cottage | Banyan Cottage is a romantic private cottage of over 850 sq. ft. with a Cal-King bed and a couch futon that makes into queen bed. The cottage has a very special bathroom with a large double marble mosaic shower and a double Jacuzzi all set in marble with stained glass bamboo windows. The cottage is furnished with lovely antiques. A large antique work desk makes this an ideal find for writers which is also connected to broad band RoadRunner wireless. Comes equipped with a small kitchenette and a place on the west lanai to enjoy an old wood porch swing or broil a steak or two.
