Melanie is also a skilled artisan chocolatier, a founding member of the Fine Chocolate Industry Association and operates Sweet Paradise Chocolatier. She was the 2007 winner of the Kona Chocolate Festival and conducts chocolate tastings, pairings and special chocolate events.

Her passion for design, architecture, the arts and gardening are reflected in this home: inherent simplicity, integration of the indoor and outdoor spaces, and attention to detail. Melanie and her Australian golden retriever, Aja, invite you to relax, unwind and connect with your partner in this intimate forest retreat she has created on the slopes of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano.
