Volcano Adventurer
Witness the current eruption of the Pu'u O'o vent aboard a state of the art Eco-Star helicopter departing from Hilo airport. Your taped tour will include scenic views of active coastal flows, lava skylights and Hawaii's dramatic coastline with waterfalls, black sand beaches and deep gorges.
Your adventure continues with a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park where you will drive along the crater rim and down to the ocean with a self-guided CD audio tour. You will be fascinated by the parks history, geology and learn the ancient legends of Pele the Volcano goddess.

In the evening you will want to return to the park to see the lava at night. Rangers have marked the trail and we send you off with a backpack filled with lava viewing essentials-flashlights, bottled water, and a few energy snacks.
Each evening return home to Bamboo Orchid Cottage for a steaming cup of tea or chocolate before sinking into your bed for a night of sweet dreams.
Depending on your fitness level or other interests there is a wealth of short hiking trails in the park, or explore our tiny Volcano Village's shops and restaurants.

Upon arrival you will be greeted with a one-of-a -kind flower lei crafted by local artisans.
In your room, we have placed an exotic tropical flower arrangement to enjoy. (we recommend you take your picture with all the beautiful flowers)
After a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, come back and explore the gift basket goodies. One basket has local goodies to snack on while you take in a movie.
