We are located just two minutes from Fort Mountain State Park, a great destination for riding excellent trails in the park, and is a great starting point for exploring the other trails located in the Chatsworth area.

Just 50 feet from our cabins entrance is the Tatum Lead ride, which you can also connect with the Rock Creek Loop (Tatum Lead and Rock Creek are on National forest land).

Fort Mountain is named for the 800-foot-long ruins of an ancient stone wall along the mountain?s northern edge. The origins of the wall and its purpose remain a mystery. Theories range from the wall being built by Hernando DeSoto during his exploration of the area in the fifteenth century, to the wall being built and used as a ceremonial structure by Native Americans, to Civil War engineering company with nothing better to do.
