The luxury of time away in a private guest house in historic downtown Ellijay. The Carriage House accommodates only one party or family at a time - no strangers here! Curl up by the fireplace, read a book, watch TV and do a little business with internet access - if you must! We are just over an hour north of Atlanta. Only a block from the round about, everything is within walking distance - restaurants, shops, antiques and county offices.

As you enter this private guest house, you are instantly transported back in time to a slower, more peaceful time. The Carriage House offers all the comforts of home and becomes your base of operation for the all the activities the area has to offer. The Family Room/Dining Area is exquisitely furnished with cozy, comfy chairs and sofa surrounding an entertainment center with fireplace, television, internet access, DVD player, VCR and stereo. The dining area has an mission style table and chairs with wet bar so you can have that cup of coffee or hot tea anytime the mood strikes you. The cherry bookcase is full of good books to curl up with in-between your outdoor adventures. Your continental breakfast and complimentary wine or soft drinks are in the refrigerator when you arrival. Sleep late, set your own schedule and have breakfast on your own schedule. There is also a full kitchen and laundry room available for your use. |

| The family room has a high vaulted ceiling and is exquisitely furnished in reds, gold and green. The Tuscan Villa tapestry takes you to another world and is the focal point of the room. The oversize sofa, chair, ottoman and Martha Washington chair offer the perfect place to rest from a long day of shopping, hiking, fishing, boating, biking, sightseeing or whatever. The beautiful half round secretary desk is the perfect place to catch-up on paperwork, while everyone else reads or watches television. Grab a book from the cherry bookcase or enjoy a movie on DVD. The dining area is included in the family room area and offers seating for six for continental breakfast, take-out, board games or lively conversation. There is also a handy counter for coffee, tea (from the Olde Hotel Gallery & Gifts), microwave and bar sink. |
