Only 5 miles or 15 minutes to Chattanooga! Mockingbird Cottage is a cozy and private cottage across from Rock City on Lookout Mountain.

In addition to our location just across the street from well known Rock City, farther out the mountain is a world reknown hang gliding port. There is also the Incline Railway, Point Park, CloudLand Canyon State Park. Ruby Falls and Reflection Riding are also minutes away.

We are just 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga (approximately 5 miles). The Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX Theatre are a must if you come to Chattanooga.

As you come in, you enter a sitting room with a queen sized sofa bed with stuffed pillows facing a pine chest which opens to the TV/VCR (pictured below right and center). Just off this room is one of the bathrooms decorated as "his" bathroom or for the kids. To the right is a fully equipped kitchen with full sized refrigerator, stove and microwave.

On the other side is an iron wrought bed with pine dresser and end tables. Off the bedroom is a make-up changing area which opens to "her" bathroom.

Any snacks such as microwave popcorn or an assortment of sodas are for your enjoyment. There is a coffee maker to help you wake up and a continental breakfast brought to you the night before, so you are not disturbed the next morning. The breakfast usually includes a juice, some fresh fruit and some muffins or homemade cinnamon rolls.

A private driveway allows you to park right in front of the cottage.

The cottage has been recently renovated. There are hardwood floors throughout other than the two bathrooms which are tiled. Local phone service and cable TV/VCR are also provided.
