Open since 1982, this alpine-style bed & breakfast is located on a beautiful and secluded tree-covered hill above the Chattahoochee River, only ? mile from the village center. A stay at Alpine Hilltop Haus includes a full breakfast served in our plant-filled sun room, with a view of the north Georgia mountains. The menu varies from day to day and often includes a bavarian-style breakfast.

Alpine Hilltop Haus - Bed & Breakfast - Helen, Georgia Alpine Hilltop Haus Bed & Breakfast, Helen's first Bed & Breakfast, has been welcoming guests since 1982. In the spring and summer, our guests are treated to window boxes and balconies overflowing with colorful flowers.

We offer 4 guest rooms, each with private baths. In keeping with European tradition, our beds are outfitted with goose-down comforters and pillows and colorful hand-made quilts. One room is a spacious and comfortable suite with a separate entrance and a wood-burning fireplace, ideal for special occasions and/or extended stays.

Breakfast Awake each morning to the aroma of breakfast. Hummel plates line the walls in the plant-filled sunroom where a full breakfast is served. A typical Bavarian-style breakfast is offered frequently, complete with brotchen, cold meats and cheese, pastries and fresh fruit and always a large pot of brewed European-style coffee. On pleasant mornings, our guests enjoy their breakfast outside on the tree-shaded deck overlooking the river. Leave all your cares behind and relax and reflect, listening to the sounds of the Chattahoochee River below.

Your hostess will gladly share information with you on the many sights, activities, restaurants and shops in the area. There is ample parking available on the property, close to the house and guest rooms. Avoid the crowds in town, leave your car here and walk the short distance back to the village.

Rates and Policies

  • Rates starting from $115/night (double) to $200/night for the suite.
  • Rates are seasonal and subject to change.
  • The suite has been recently rennovated and now has a king size bed and the sitting room has a whirlpool tub and fireplace with gas logs.
  • Master Card or Visa required to guarantee reservation
  • Reduced rates offered for extended stays 3+ days
  • Cancellation Policy - 48 hours (2 weeks to 1 month during holidays or Oktoberfest)
  • No pets allowed
  • Children 12 and older welcome
  • Limited smoking available
