House Rules for Receptions/Parties
We rent $5 per person for receptions/parties, etc. for renting the Reception Room. We have a $150 minimum fee and $1,000 maximum fee. This cost is separate from your caterer's cost. We use the number that you provide your caterer (for preparing the food) x $5 to figure the fee. We do not "count heads" on the day of the event. (3 hours). Additional time must be approved. The Reception Room will accommodate 50 sit down guests. 100+ guest Buffet style accommodation; includes standups.
When food is served at the event, the party renting the facilities must secure a professional caterer. A list of local caterers will be provided, upon request. Georgia Red Barn provides Tables, Table linens and Chairs. Live music (i.e. bands, d.j's, etc, is permitted only when the whole house is rented for the event. A special rate for all rooms will be offered. This is in addition to the charge for Reception Room facilities.
Deposit requirements: A non-refundable deposit in the amount of 25% of the total estimated bill is required in order to hold the date open at Georgia Red Barn for your event. Incremental payments may be required depending on the balance, but in any case, THE BALANCE MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO THE START OF THE EVENT. We have a $150 refundable damage deposit fee.
Alcoholic beverages: Georgia Red Barn allows wine/champagne only to be served at your event. Georgia Red Barn does not provide nor take responsible for the alcohol! The undersigned understands no one under the age of 21 is allowed to drink alcohol! No other alcohol (i.e. beer, liquor, open bar, etc.) is permitted to be served.
Georgia Red Barn requests all receptions/parties be over by 9:30 p.m., unless you have rented the entire house for the evening. We also ask that your guest not arrive any earlier than 30 minutes before your event. Georgia Red Barn can supply seating for outdoor Weddings or parties up to 100. No Rice! Please use bird seed (not for indoor wedding), bubbles or preferably rose petals.
