Yesterday’s Inn Bed and Breakfast is a completely restored and gorgeously decorated Queen Anne Victorian home on the National Historic register dated 1900. It is located in Spearfish, South Dakota with easy access to Interstate 90 and the gateway to spectacular Spearfish Canyon. Within minutes of Rapid City Regional Airport and a variety of scenic and historic sites including Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, historic Deadwood, Custer State Park, Devil’s Tower, the Badlands ,it is the perfect place to step back in time while enjoying modern conveniences and relaxing at the end of a long day of travel and sight-seeing. Spearfish is home to Black Hills State University, many fine restaurants, unique shops, the Black Hills Amphitheater, Mathews Opera House and the historic DC Booth Fish Hatchery.
Guest accommodations consist of four rooms on the second floor of the main house which share a common bathroom; Grandma’s Attic suite with high vaulted ceilings, a private bath, two queen beds one of which is behind French doors and a trundle daybed; the Charming Cellar suite which is actually a two bedroom apartment with a private bathroom, living room and kitchen. Two of the rooms on the second floor have electric fireplaces and the cellar has an electric fireplace. All rooms are equipped with cable television and DVD players.
There is a two bedroom cottage with a private bathroom, kitchen, and living room with a sofa-bed. The cottage is decorated in the French Country style and has beautiful hardwood floors, large windows that let in plenty of sunlight to give the quarters an open, cheery feeling. The cottage has a wraparound covered porch as well as a walk-out area overlooking the pond.
The main house has a large porch in the front and a covered patio in the back which are suitable for dining (weather permitting) or taking in the sights and sounds of the neighborhood. A four person Jacuzzi was purchased in 2009 and provides another avenue for relaxation. There are two gazebos on the grounds which have been used frequently for weddings, private parties and family reunions. The lush gardens offer the perfect natural setting for those events as well.
Innkeeper’s quarters include a large bedroom with private bath on the first floor of the main house and a family room adjacent to the kitchen. There is a two-car garage attached to the main house and a one-car garage attached to the cottage and a basement in the cottage that provides ample storage space.
The inn is open year round with the high tourist season from May through September. The remainder of the year is perfect for hosting social events, tea parties, Murder Mystery dinners/weekends, holiday parties, romantic weekends, bridal/baby showers, family gatherings and winter sports enthusiasts.
Yesterday’s Inn Bed and Breakfast is currently a Limited Liability Corporation with membership in The Better Business Bureau, AAA (three diamond rating), Black Hills Badland and Lakes Association of South Dakota, Bed and Breakfast Innkeepers of South Dakota, and the Spearfish Chamber of Commerce.
This B&B is sold as a “turn-key” business complete with real estate, , furnishings ,website, WiFi throughout the property and established clientele(online reviews, comments in guest books, repeat business and referrals speak for themselves).
