The Harlan Log House is an 18th Century Quaker homestead in the Brandywine Valley of Chadds Ford, Chester County, Pennsylvania.
In the heart of Pennsylvania's Brandywine Valley yet just 35 miles from Philadelphia and 21/2 miles from New York or Washington. Prime local attractions include Longwood Gardens and Winterthur Museum (both just three miles down the road from the five acre Log House property). Intentionally maintaining a lower occupancy rate contributes to an atmosphere of being entertained as personal friends.
Additions in 1814 and 1990 enhance the original log house and its status on the National Register of Historic Places. Should they choose, the new owners will become custodians of the many koi and comet fish who make their home in the water garden (which was once a pool). The property is listed as either as a guest house or a private home.
