The Parrish Place is a successful B and B inn in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was built in 1890 for a prominent businessman, and is listed on the National Historic Register as the Cannon House. It was restored in 1998 with a nod to Maxfield Parrish artwork, from which the rooms are named. Original stained and beveled glass panels are throughout with period chandeliers accenting the original medallions found in most of the rooms. The tile work and carved living room fireplace remain in their original splendor.
There are five guest rooms, all with private bath. One on the main level has a private entrance, three are on the second floor, and the fifth is on the top floor. Guests have access to the living, dining, and sun rooms, as well as the outdoor patio and hot tub. The owner/innkeepers have a private main floor bedroom and bath, a full kitchen, and private covered patio. The adjacent “prep” kitchen fulfills the requirements for food service to guests.
Business and out-of-state travelers love the convenient location. Whether guests are coming through Utah on I-80, flying in and out of the airport, or desiring easy access to the entire valley and ski resorts, the location is a major selling point.
