A Maine coastal Bed and Breakfast with elegance, charm and location for sale!
The Inns at Blackberry Commons are located in the heart of Camden Maine, within easy walking distance to the Village and the Harbor. This well recognized and established mid-coast Maine bed and breakfast comes with more than charm…it comes with a strong hospitality business history that makes the business current and viable!
Two well positioned architectural jewels set the scene, the fully sprinklered Italianate Victorian “Blackberry” with its adjacent carriage house and the “Elms”, a classic New England Federal . The historic mid-coast Maine bed and breakfast offers 18 guest rooms and suites. All unique and delightful retreats. The accommodations range from grand luxury suites with whirlpool tubs, fireplaces/stoves set in the renovated attached carriage house to traditional rooms, many with fireplaces in the two historic buildings. Cottage style rooms set among the Inns gardens offer private entrances. All rooms are decorated to fit the style of the rooms, from traditional to whimsical!
The Inns have a number of welcoming common areas, both inside and out. The parlors, dining rooms, decks and patios give guests options for gathering outside their guest rooms and enjoying the wonderful Maine seasonal weather and gorgeous gardens and grounds.
Guests are welcomed year round. There is always something to experience on the mid-coast. There are off shore islands to explore, cross country or downhill skiing at the Snow Bowl where you can ski and view the ocean at the same time! Music festivals, always lobsters, lighthouses to visit and bays to sail. Galleries, shops and some of Maine’s finest restaurants are all within easy distances. Many guests will stay for a week and never tire of activities and explorations!
The Inns main kitchen is built with the epicurean in mind. A 6 burner with griddle Wolf stove is the center attraction. A large center island, spacious counter tops, office area and separate entrance make this the perfect innkeeper’s center of activity. This kitchen can be used for special tasting events and cooking classes too. Being zoned as a ‘hotel’, allows for dinner service in the Inn if new Innkeepers have the penchant for food and wine! This bonus feature can be for Inn guests or the public too. Off the kitchen is the owners private deck and up a stairway are the lodge and loft style owners quarters, which include a large open floor plan living room/family room, post and beams, wood stove, bedroom and master-bath.
This lovely historic mid-coast Maine bed and breakfast is a member of the Select Registry Distinguished Inns of North America, a member of Passport to New England. Two marketing groups that always draw guests to the Inns.
This is an exceptional property for innkeepers seeking an established bed and breakfast with a strong business on the Mid-Coast.
