Located in an historic district, this 1839 inn is on the National Register of Historic Places, three blocks from the heart of downtown.  We are zoned for use as a bed and B & B plus dining by reservation.  There are five guest rooms, each with private bathrooms & individual climate control.  The house sits on a .75 acre parcel.  There’s off street parking for 22 cars.  There are three common main level rooms allowing sit down dining for (up to) 65 guests.  The rear yard is 40’x100’, perfect for weddings and events for sit down functions of 125 guests.  The Owner’s quarter’s is a separate cottage from the main house.  The entire property has been restored, is well maintained and it shows.  There is not much to do to the property other than for personal taste to make it YOURS.

 

Our business has a nice balance of revenue from two sources, lodging and dining.

 

Our local economy is sustained by two industries, manufacturing and agriculture.  These industries provide us with a consistent year round flow of lodging business travelers who fill the inn during weekdays. Our 2009 occupancy average is 48 %.   We anticipate that percentage to continue to increase, as our business continues to grow (due to new local industry and a new tourism authority. 

 

 

The dining we offer is primarily for special events.  We host events including, but not limited to bridal lunches, weddings, birthdays and anniversaries.  Our special event revenue is strong; our best month ever was in June 2009.   We anticipate dining revenue to continue growing, as the request for our services always exceeds what we now handle. 

    

We have a full bar on premises and are licensed to sell beer, wine, and mixed drinks to our dining patrons and overnight guests.
