This historic country Inn is one of New Hampshire's oldest operating "Highway Inns" serving guests since the early 1800's. It provided travelers and visitors to this beautiful region with a warm and comfortable place to stay next to the clean waters of Bow Lake.
The Inn is constructed from hand-hewn chestnut beams and has many of its earliest features professionally restored, including wide pine flooring, hand-forged hardware, raised panel doors and wood moldings. Owners' quarters are included.
Bow Lake Inn has undergone a complete renovation since 1999 including ...
- Gas fireplaces
- AC
- Cable TV
- Internet access
- All new wiring, plumbing, heat, septic and landscaping
Most of the furnishings are either antique or hand-made reproductions. In 2007, an addition was added for a tavern and bakery. This completed the vision of the owners to preserve the historical integrity of this Inn and continue into the future with a full turn-key operation. The Inn has a full liquor and food license for a twenty-two seat restaurant and is also open year round. The tavern/restaurant has an inviting seating area with a large fireplace and an antique grand piano.
The majority of the Inn's guests are repeat customers and the new tavern is drawing in a steady clientele of diners who particularly enjoy the hearty country foods and friendly atmosphere. The owners would like to retire and are looking for the right persons to continue the history.
