Introduction
Built in 1903 with a Colonial Dutch flair, Coquina Wharf Intracoastal Bed & Breakfast welcomes you with warm Southern hospitality in a historic setting. It is located on the Intracoastal Waterway at the site of the Old Stone Wharf. The wharf was built in the 1700's and marked the end of the King's Road. The site was the scene of a Civil War engagement in 1862.
T he grounds feature a dock for fishing and crabbing. Guests with boats may dock at no charge. There is a fishing hole in front of Coquina Wharf where grouper as large as 35 pounds have been caught. A City Marina within walking distance provides dockage for larger boats. Guests will find many shady places tucked away for reading and relaxing. The grounds on the water's edge are perfect for sunning. Many local artists paint Coquina's porch and view with comfortable rocking chairs and many flowering plants. Dolphins put on a daily show and the manatees come bobbing along by the dock.
Enjoy views of the Intracoastal Waterways from Coquina Wharf's porch and the upstairs balcony!

Common Room
Sun Porch
The common room is an unusually shaped living room that captures your attention the minute you walk through the front door. The fireplace accommodates the shape and sits on an angle with a 17 foot sofa facing it for cozy chats and refreshments. There are many family antiques throughout the home. The innkeeper is a third generation Florida native who was born in Deland. Her grandmother designed and hooked rugs and several are used throughout the inn. Heart of pine floors and ten foot ceilings add to the ambiance.
The sun porch is where the full breakfast personally cooked by the innkeeper is served using many family recipes. Breakfast includes juice, coffee or tea, fresh fruit and a hot entrée. Views of the water are everywhere, many plants and lace curtains give a sunny, airy effect. There is a stereo and a large CD collection for the use of guests.
Linda Gill Hayes, the owner of this picturesque B&B, feels that having guests at her inn is like having friends come to stay.
There are no formal packages, but most any special treat can be arranged. She is trained in floral design and can prepare special baskets of goodies for birthdays and other events.
People with allergies to cats need to know that Sable, the official B&B cat, lives in the main house.
