There is a place in Florida with rolling hills, lakes large and small, surrounded by great moss-draped oaks and magnolias, and every color of wild flowers dotting the landscape. A magical place like your face reflected in a mirror, reflects the blue sky and the blazing sun on its rising the hues of gold and pink on its setting. Lily pads float serenely on the surface of the lake and bring a Monet painting to mind. At night the moon is brighter and the stars are truly hung, twinkling in their set location against a velvet sky.

This is Magnolia Glen in Inverness, Florida on Lake Henderson...a delightful English Tudor-style Bed and Breakfast. Its intimate, homey, camp atmosphere is decorated in 18th Century nautical, reminiscent of Lord Horatio Nelson.

Breakfast:

• Your day starts at 0830 hours (8:30 a.m.) breakfast is served in the Admiral Nelson Dining Room.
  
• Table setting: Antique china and silver with crystal water goblets.
  
• Two courses: First course is fresh fruit served with a delicious sauce if you wish. Main entre is an egg course such as: eggs benidect, individual egg souffle, unique French Toast or perhaps Belgian Waffles.
  
• Baked Goodies are all fresh and baked at Magnolia Glen. You will awaken to the aroma of fresh muffins baking, freshly ground coffee.
  
• Teas for the tea connoissurs also available, just ask.

Your day may include: golf, tennis, walking or jogging, biking, canoeing, visiting the many antique and collectable shops, or just kick back and read a book.

• Trafalgar Suite - Queen bed, jacuzzi tub and shower
  
• Lake Room -King bed, adjoining full bath
  
• Savannah - Queen bed, large room, bath in room with tub and shower, t.v. and artificial fireplace

    Tuesday 1:00 P.M.-Thursday 5:00 P.M., $130.00 (plus tax)
    
  • Daily rates or one night - $84.95 (plus Tax)
    
  • Extended Stay rates (4 nights or more) $55.00 per night
  • "The special for the special economy rate" - $67.50 per day
• All major credit cards accepted.
  
• Magnolia Glen has smoking out of doors, only.
  
• Your own alcoholic drinks are acceptable in the common room and Admiral Nelson dining room.
  
• Due to the intimate size of the Bed and Breakfast, reservations are a must. If necessary to cancel, 48 hours in advance is required or the full amount of the weekend or night will be charged.
  

All purpose mini conference capabilities are also available. Each room has a private bath. Meetings may be held on the enclosed glass porch or out of doors when weather permits. During the week the rate is $130.00 per room for two nights, two people to a room. Rate includes a gourmet breakfast, with tea (hot or cold) and scones at 4:00 p.m.
