La Veranda, a grand old house surrounded by its namesake "veranda" flanking two sides of the ground floor, is situated on a lovely tree-shaded property with lush tropical gardens that afford both privacy and accessibility. A drive of a few short blocks from the bustle of I-275 will take you back to a quieter place and time, reminiscent of the Florida of fifty years ago, yet with the all the comforts and conveniences of today.

A short stroll from La Veranda will take you to the waterfront parks that give the city its charm. St. Petersburg has maintained the entire downtown waterfront, some seven miles in all, for the use of residents and visitors alike. Parks, marinas, and "The Pier", combine with the commercial establishments to provide lots to do downtown. Year 'round there are special events like "Taste of Pinellas" and "Ribfest" that bring good food and music, in abundance, to the downtown bayfront. Concerts, art shows, and even motor racing add to the excitement of this beautiful waterfront setting. All of this, just a few short blocks from your suite at La Veranda. |
