The Washington Post has called Logan Circle “Washington’s premiere neighborhood for Victorian homes.” Just a few doors away from our building is a residence originally owned by Ulysses S. Grant Jr., son of the 18th president, one of a number of prominent figures who have lived here. The Circle itself is a U.S. National Park and Category II National Landmark dedicated to the memory of General John Alexander Logan, a Civil War hero who served as a U.S. Senator from Illinois and later ran for vice president. A bronze statue of Logan astride a prancing horse sits at the center the Circle amid park benches and lofty old oaks.
