Woodstock is located in Northeastern Connecticut near the Massachusetts border. It offers many fun events including: The Woodstock Fair, held annually on Labor Day, which began back in 1860, and Celebrating Agriculture, a fall festival filled with agricultural displays, family events, food and entertainment. There are several area attractions including: the Tour Roseland Cottage which is a national landmark built in 1846. This house depicts the summer life of a prosperous family in mid 19th-century America that chose to summer in Woodstock. Also the Palmer Arboretum which is a place for education, enjoyment and enlightenment that's located in the town of Woodstock, CT, on Route 169. When looking for a restaurant in the area you may be interested in trying The Inn at Woodstock Hill. This restaurant has been featured in Connecticut Magazine, where it was awarded "Best Hotel Dining" and "Best Brunch." The Mansion at Bald Hill is another excellent option. They offer gourmet dining and fine wine.
