Handicap Accessible

The Buttery, c1740, is wheelchair accessible. The oldest room in our Main House, it has gunstock beams, original hardware, and wide floorboards. The queen bed has many handholds in its ship's wheel style headboard. The bathroom is small with no turnaround; one wheels straight in and backs out. There is a wheel-under sink straight on. One transfers to the left to a high toilet with Church seat, or to the right to the tub with drop-down seat and handheld shower. The Buttery is accessible via a paved ramp through a small herb garden, with parking at the base of the ramp. There is also a small private deck with bistro table and chairs where Buttery guests can have a beverage or read.
