The Captain Stannard House has charmed and welcomed local residents and out-of-town guests for over 150 years as Holly's Barn Dance Hall, the St. Charles Inn, Kingsley Hall, an antique store, the Menunketesuck Inn, private residences, and currently as the Captain Stannard House.

Barque Daniel Webster

Captain Stannard came East in 1859 and purchased the barque, or bark, Daniel Webster, on which he and his bride, Harriet, took their wedding tour around Cape Horn to Asia. Yarmouth blue walls, three large windows and an elegant chandelier contribute diffused light in this particularly romantic room.
