Another Second Penny Inn was built about 1710 and is located just a few hundred feet from the historic Road Church. The Inn was once operated as a tavern, and the entire upper story on the west side was a dancing hall.
Another Second Penny Inn features two large patios and extensive grounds. A five course breakfast is served Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. The menu uses seasonal ingredients and highlights New England recipes. On Sundays, breakfast is served until 11:30. Coffee, tea, cocoa, and baked goods are available in the dining room starting at 7:00 a.m. everyday.
All guest rooms include private telephone with voice mail, televisions with cable, air conditioning, refrigerators, bathrobes, and am/fm clock radios.
On Sundays, the innkeepers attend 10:00 a.m. services at the historic Road Meeting House and welcome all guests to join them. Many descendants of the founding families of Stonington still attend the church, which features one of the most welcoming and warm congregations to be found.
