 Woodstock, Connecticut (CT) Bed and Breakfast: Described as the mansion house in the 1700's, Elias Child House is a historic treasure in northeastern Connecticut. The innkeepers honed their innkeeping skills during their 16+ years of running Maple Hill Farm B&B. Elias Child House is located in a rural area on 47 acres of pasture and woodland. Perrin Road is extremely lightly traveled, so city dwellers may have trouble sleeping due to the silence, which may be punctuated by the singing of the night critters or the hooting of an owl.

Guest Rooms/Rates

Suite Aimee - The suite starts with a large air-conditioned bedchamber with walk-in closet, queen bed, and single bed. An antique crib is situated in the alcove between the bedchamber and sitting room. A shower room and a new tub room are located off the sitting room. Both the bedroom and sitting room have fireplaces. Rate: $145 per night.

Polly's Room - Located upstairs across from the suite with plenty of comfort. The room features a queen bed, private bath, air-conditioner, and fireplace. Being on the southwest corner of the house affords an excellent view of sunsets. Rate: $120 per night.

Caroline's Room - Located on the ground floor with a queen bed and a three-quarter bed, private bath, and air-conditioning. The room comes with its own fireplace for those romantic moments. Rate: $115 per night.

  • Rates based on two persons. Extra persons: $20 per person, per night. Rollaway beds available.
  • We accept: cash, personal check, travelers check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express.
  • Reservations may be guaranteed by credit card or cash/check deposit within 10 days of making the reservation.
  • Check-in: 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Check-out: 11:00 am.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house
  • Children over 8 are welcome. Ask about our pets policy. (See Pets Welcome)
  • Cancellation policy: A full refund of deposit will be made, less $20 administrative fee, for cancellations made 14 or more days before the scheduled arrival date.
