The December-January contest is sponsored by The Cotton Palace Bed & Breakfast - Waco, Texas.

The winner of the December-January Contest will receive a gift certificate from The Cotton Palace Bed & Breakfast for two people for two night's lodging (weekday or weekend) to be used February 8, 2002 thru January 31, 2003 subject to room availability.

We have included an online form (click here to start) for you to fill in your answers and submit them electronically to us. We have also listed the questions below so that you may print them out and have them in front of you while you find the answers. Also, if your web browser does not support forms you may write your answers on this page and mail them to us (or if you feel uncomfortable about sending your name/address across the internet).

In renovating this beautiful old home we originally thought of the opportunity we had to share that beauty with others, but our greatest joy now comes from sharing the rich ________ of Waco through the story of the house, the architect and its owners...
A house I had been in many times and had always loved had a ________ sign in front of it. We realized immediately that this was what we had been looking for. The most romantic room in Waco begins with a dark mahogany queen mansion bed set against gray walls and white billowy curtains. The white satin down comforter covers luxurious bed linens and an extra tall pillow top mattress. Tie-breaker question: (make your best guess)
A very large, 100 year old pecan tree graces our back yard. Every two years (including this year) we have a big crop of pecans. We use the pecans in our baking, but we have so many that we shell them and package them with our Cotton Palace label. We give these to our guests as a remembrance of their stay at The Cotton Palace. TIE-BREAKER QUESTION: How many pounds of pecans did our 100 year old pecan tree produce in 1999?

The entry with the closest answer wins. In the case of a tie a random drawing will be held among the correct entries to determine the winner. PLEASE do NOT call or email the innkeepers and ask them what the answer is.
