Introduction

Innkeepers Frank and Susan Gray invite you to share their cozy mountain retreat, The Woodland Inn Bed and Breakfast. Nestled in the foothills of majestic Pikes Peak, their Inn is peaceful and secluded, yet convenient to the many attractions and activities the area has to offer. Located eighteen miles west of Colorado Springs, the Woodland Inn offers a wonderful alternative to typical lodging!

Surrounded by Aspen groves and Ponderosa Pines, guests may wander in the woods, read by the koi pond, catch up on emails with our wireless internet, or just relax in the parlor overlooking peaceful woodlands where hummingbirds, elk, deer, fox and an occasional bear come to visit. And for a special treat, schedule a private pottery lesson from Master Potter Frank Gray!

Frank and Susan serve a wonderful breakfast fireside in the spacious dining room or on the sunny patio. Tea service is always available and delicious treats are provided in the evenings. Guests are invited to use the kitchen or outdoor grill for dinner and lunches, or they can walk down the lane to a fine restaurant. For a day of hiking, biking, skiing or trail riding, your hosts can assist you with arrangements and picnic lunches.

Perfect for a romantic weekend getaway, or a home base while you explore the Pikes Peak area, the Woodland Inn offers a wonderful choice of rooms, all with private baths to accommodate your needs. For people wanting to more privacy, there are also three cabins that are available for rent. Frank and Susan excel at making family and group reunions, weddings and receptions as well as business conferences and seminars unique and memorable. Also offered are pottery classes and raku firings for small groups.

Weddings/Receptions

The Woodland Inn is an ideal setting for wedding ceremonies, small receptions, rehearsal dinners and showers. Cozy and intimate groups of 45 or less can enjoy the beauty of the area with catering services available. Susan will make sure things run smoothly so you can enjoy your guests!

Family Reunions/Group Gatherings

Gather your whole family for tons of fun at the Woodland Inn! Use our kitchen to prepare lunch or dinner, or arrange to have a family pot luck in our dining room. Catering is available upon request.

The Inn is also a perfect place for other gatherings. Scrapbooking groups come yearly, take over the Inn and spend all their time scrapbooking, eating, singing and soaking in the hot tub. Some groups never get out of their PJ's!

Business Conferences/Seminars

If you are planning a business conference or seminar, the Inn has just what you need to inspire and relax your attendees. We can accommodate day retreats from mid-October to mid May, or rent the entire Inn for your group and stay a few days. The maximum number the meeting room will hold comfortably is 20-30. Catered lunches and dinners can be arranged or we can recommend restaurants in the area. We can also help arrange day trips for your group.

Blue Lilac The Blue Lilac room provides a marvelous view of Pikes Peak and the surrounding woodlands. This spacious room has lodge pole furnishings and a king sized bed. The attached bath has a tub and shower. $99 - $109/night
Sweet Violet With the best views in the house, the Violet room is a favorite with guests. The king sized bed has a posturepedic mattress with 4 inches of memory foam and the attached bath has a shower. $99 - $109/night
Wild Rose & Trailing Ivy The Wild Rose and Ivy Suite features two connecting rooms and a private bath with a tub and shower located across the hall. Each room has a queen sized bed. At night listen to the water feature in the koi pond located right outside your window! $109 - $139/night
Our Garden Level rooms overlook the aspen groves and tall pines around the inn and have queen size beds.
Red Oak Fall asleep on the romantic queen sized sleigh bed and awaken to the aspen grove and koi pond outside your window! Look for deer, fox and lots of birds, or lounge in the oversized red soaking tub! Very romantic and relaxing! $99 - $109/night
Quaking Aspen This bright, airy room has views of Pikes Peak and 60 year old Ponderosa Pines and is decorated in shades of sage to soothe your soul! The Aspen offers a queen sized bed, an attached bath with shower and an electric fireplace to keep you cozy! $99 - $109/night
Ponderosa Pine Relax in the Ponderosa Pine room while viewing Pikes Peak from the queen sized lodge pole bed. An attached bath with shower, restful earth tones and evergreen accents will lull you into a peaceful state! $89 - $99/night
Blue Spruce Snuggle up in the Blue Spruce room with woodland views, beautiful maple flooring and a fisherman motif. The Spruce has a queen sized bed and an attached bath with a shower. We can also put a roll-away in this fun room for the "outdoors man" in all of us. $89 - $99/night
Cabin Rental Rate

$150/night, $900/week (7th night is free). Cabins require a 3 night minimum stay.

Dancing Bear Cabin Dancing Bear Cabin is located on 2 acres, 13 miles west of Woodland Park between Divide and Florrisant. This cabin has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a laundry room, satellite TV and VCR. With all the convenience of a new home, the cabin retains a cozy, rustic charm. The deck has views of Pikes Peak, a charcoal grill and table and chairs. Sleeps 6-8 and has a fenced yard. Perfect for people traveling with their dogs! (Available year round)
Evergreen Cabin Evergreen Cabin is nestled on the hillside in Green Mountain Falls, 15 miles west of Colorado Springs. This comfortable cabin has everything you need for your home away from home! It has recently been remodeled and has a kitchen with dishwasher, 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. For your convenience there is also a washer and dryer, satellite TV, DVD and stereo with CD player. (Open May through October)
Breezy Point Cabin Breezy Point Cabin is a beautiful historic cabin built in 1887 and is located in Green Mountain Falls. Remodeled but keeping its 19 century charm, it has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, satellite TV and VCR. The spectacular sunroom is perfect for dining, playing games or just relaxing. The view from its large front porch will keep you coming back year after year! (Open May through October)

  • Rates: High Season/Low Season for 1-2 people
    • High Season (Memorial Day Weekend through September 30): $109
    • Low Season (October 1 to Memorial Day Weekend): $99
  • A 10% discount on the total bill is available for guests who reside five days or longer.
  • All rooms have private baths.
  • Recreation/meeting room with fireplace, kitchenette, TV/VCR & games.

Cave of the Winds, Cog Railway, Mollie Kathleen Mine, Indian Cliff Dwellings, Rosemont Castle, Royal Gorge, Air Force Academy, Olympic Training Center and the North Pole are just a few of the tourist destinations in the area.

You can gamble in Historic Cripple Creek, just 35 miles away, or enjoy the abundance of outdoor activities in the area: Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Boating, Skiing, Horseback Riding, Rafting and Golf.

Other outdoor activities available in nearby Pike National Forest surrounding Pikes Peak include: Rampart Range Reservoir, Mueller State Park, Eleven Mile Canyon, and the South Platte River, which offer trails and pristine mountain lakes and streams for fishing and boating. And there's always great shopping in Woodland Park and nearby Manitou Springs!
