Walsenburg, known for its Black Diamond Jubilee Festival, is located in the southern part of Colorado, in Huerfano County. This festival celebrates the days back when coal was the main ingredient for their prosperity. Along with that you can enjoy a number of activities while staying at a Walsenburg bed and breakfast. Lathrop State Park is also a popular spot, which has lakes for swimming, boating, windsurfing, and fishing. The old Walsenburg Train Depot is also a popular venue for tourists, which has since been turned into a Chamber of Commerce/Tourism Center. Good eating can be found at Andy's Smokehouse and BBQ, famous for their "made fresh" barbecue. Visit Rambler's Restaurant, a common stomping ground for the locals, and known for their laid-back bar atmosphere. All of this is good reason to reserve a Walsenburg B&B or Walsenburg inn.
