 Durango, Colorado (CO) Bed & Breakfast: The newly renovated Rochester Hotel, built circa 1892, offers 15 spacious rooms with high ceilings and full baths, decorated in an Old West motif. The Leland House offers ten charming rooms in a lovingly restored two-story brick apartment building built in 1927. The interior decor is accented with photos, memorabilia, and framed, written biographies of these important figures. Six of the rooms are actually three-room suites, and all rooms have kitchen facilities and private baths.

Introduction

The Rochester Hotel and The Leland House - Durango, Colorado Built in 1892, The Rochester Hotel is an authentically restored late-Victorian hotel with the charm and luxury of the Old West. This 15-room hotel is decorated in an Old West motif, furnished with period antiques and inspired by the many Western movies filmed in and around Durango, Colorado. The Rochester Hotel was designated as "The Flagship Hotel of Colorado" by Conde' Nast - Traveler in 1996, and noted for its "cowboy funky" decor.

The Rochester Hotel is situated on a beautifully landscaped setting that features a flower-filled courtyard and is located just one block from historic Main Avenue in downtown Durango. The Hotel is within walking distance to major attractions such as the Durango & Silverton Railroad, museums, galleries, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and various outdoor activities. It is just a short drive to Mesa Verde, Durango Mountain Resort and Trimble Hot Springs & Spa.

Guests enjoy a complimentary full gourmet breakfast in the Rochester lobby each morning, including a daily hot entrée, homemade baked goods and a selection of fresh fruit. All of our guests are served a full gourmet breakfast, served from 7 - 9 a.m. in the luxurious lobby of the Rochester Hotel, across from The Leland House. The breakfast is complimentary to Rochester Hotel and Leland House guests. Outside visitors can also be invited for breakfast. The price is $10 per person. An afternoon social is served every afternoon in the Rochester Lobby with hot and cold tea and homemade cookies!

The Rochester Hotel is the perfect place to host a group gathering, family reunion, or small wedding. A unique setting is provided for groups of 75 people or less:
