Our daily afternoon Wine Social includes light appetizers, a non-alcoholic option or hot tea and gourmet coffee. Your stay here will be complemented by attention to detail and warm hospitality, perhaps mingling with other guests, or finding a private spot. This Echo Canyon exclusive is fun for the entire family! It consists of a white water rafting trip down the Arkansas River and a train ride aboard the Royal Gorge railroad through the scenic Royal Gorge. Your raft trip is followed by a delicious lunch served on the banks of the river at our private landing.
This trip combines a nine mile raft trip through the Arkansas River's Bighorn Sheep Canyon, lunch along the banks of the river, followed by a twelve mile train ride on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad in one continuous excursion.

On June 9, 1986, Holden House innkeepers Sallie and Welling Clark, first opened their doors to B&B guests. After a year of extensive renovations to this 1902 Victorian charmer, the Clarks first welcomed guests into their home. While continual loving care and luxury amenities have been bestowed on this stately home and the addition of its adjacent rose Victorian home and historic carriage house, Holden House always offers personal service and delectable breakfasts!

Horseback Riding in Garden of the Gods is especially beautiful during the winter months when snow touched red rocks glisten in the sunlight. Take a historic one or two hour horseback trip just a few miles from the inn by the Academy Riding Stables. Enjoy the fabulous scenery of our world-reknown city park with 1350 acres of magnificent red sandstone rock formations, some over 300 million years old.

Follow the most spectacular section of Denver & Rio Grande Railroad through the Gorge, with a view of the bridge above, the highest suspension bridge in North America. Plan to visit the bridge separately after your ride (not included).
Climate controlled coaches, first-class cars and open-air observation cars to watch wildlife; eagles, and Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. The journey through the Royal Gorge lasts about 2 hours.
