TRAIN FOR TWO & Gourmet Gorge Lunch Delight!
WELCOME ABOARD! The Royal Gorge Route Railroad is the best way to experience the Royal Gorge. Enjoy a 2 hr. ride just 45 minutes away! Follow the most spectacular section of Denver & Rio Grande Railroad through the Gorge, with a view of the bridge above, the highest suspension bridge in North America. Plan to visit the bridge separately after your ride (not included).

Climate controlled coaches, first-class cars and open-air observation cars to watch wildlife; eagles, and Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. The journey through the Royal Gorge lasts about 2 hours.

Passengers may choose from Coach seating or the special Dome Class. We can also make a reservation for the famous Gourmet Lunch Train

BOURBON GLAZED ROTISSERIE CHICKEN w/mashed garlic red potatoes, green beans with whiskey-butter sauce, PESTO SALMON over mashed sweet potatoes, tomato relish, green beans, basil oil and fig balsamic glaze, ROASTED PORK LOIN baked to perfection and served with orange marmalade sauce serve with garlic mashed red potatoes and green beans, GRILLED VEGETABLE NAPOLEON- A selection of fresh seasonal vegetables lightly grilled and enclosed in puff pastry. All entrees include side dish, salad, bread, dessert w/glass of champagne/sparkling cider.

IN-ROOM MASSAGE: One-hour of a personal massage in your luxury suite $75/hour/person.

JUST DUCKY BUBBLES & BREAKFAST: Your honeymoon, anniversary or special occasion will be extra special with this package which includes French champagne (non-alcoholic option)with keepsake Holden House wine glasses and fresh roses on arrival (Additional $30 during February), our Romance Package with breakfast delivered to your door one morning, and a bubble bath for two complete with take-home rubber ducky. Prefer 48 hours notice for package. Additional $85/couple.

ROMANCE BREAKFAST EN SUITE PACKAGE: Stay in any of our Romantic Victorian suites with tub for two, private bath, queen bed, color/cable tv, dvd/cd player and refigerator. Add to your stay with a specially prepared breakfast en suite Romance Package for just $15 extra per day.

SPARKLING GETAWAY PACKAGE
Make your stay sparkle for just an extra $30 plus room rate--you'll enjoy chilled sparkling French champagne (non-alcoholic option available) in your room on arrival, and breakfast en suite one morning to keep the romantic fires lit!

BABYMOON-ERS: Substitute your champagne with non-alcoholic sparkling cider. Pamper her before the baby arrives! Fresh flowers, breakfast en suite, etc. Consider a special 50-minute massage for your Mother-to-be.

WESTERN SKIES-Garden of the Gods on Horseback
Horseback Riding in Garden of the Gods is especially beautiful during the winter months when snow touched red rocks glisten in the sunlight. Take a historic one or two hour horseback trip just a few miles from the inn by the Academy Riding Stables. Enjoy the fabulous scenery of our world-reknown city park with 1350 acres of magnificent red sandstone rock formations, some over 300 million years old.

ONE HOUR RIDE: $79.00 per couple plus room rate

TWO HOUR RIDE: $113.00 per couple plus room rate

THREE HOUR RIDE: $153.00 per couple plus room rate and must call for time and availability.

HORSEBACK RIDES SCHEDULED FROM MORNING TO AFTERNOON-LET US KNOW YOUR PREFERRED TIME. Maximum individual weight 250 lbs.

A special policy applies to all packages at Holden House: 100% deposit, non-refundable. All Discount Packages must be mentioned at time of booking reservation and are not offered after initial reservation confirmation.

Other optional packages (massage, breakfast en suite, etc.) may be added to your stay with advance notice. While we do our best to inform our guests of all policies when the reservation is made, please don't hesitate to inquire when making your reservation.
