Fraser is located in Grand County. The town is in Middle Park in the valley of the Fraser River along U.S. Highway 40. A Fraser bed and breakfast is the best place to stay in this area if you are a winter sports enthusiast as Fraser is found just northwest of Winter Park, the location of several popular ski areas. You'll have fewer crowds and more room. Your Fraser B&B or Fraser inn will also be nearby other activities including the Fraser Visitor's Center and Walk Through History Park. For you cowboys and cowgirls, the High Country Stampede Rodeo Series, established in 1986, is held at the John Work Arena located just one mile west of Fraser each Saturday in July and August. Entertainment includes bull riding, barrel racing and cattle roping, as well as a barbecue dinner. There are a few great restaurants you may want to check out while in the area including the Crooked Creek Saloon, which is a great combination of an old fashioned saloon and a great moderately priced restaurant, and Antonios Pizza and Pasta, a more casual local favorite.
