Del Norte is located on the west edge of the San Luis Valley at the base of the San Juan mountains. If you happen to be staying at a Del Norte bed and breakfast at the right time of year, you might be able to catch its famous "Covered Wagon Days", which usually happens in early August. It is also the home of the Festival of Imagination, a performing arts festival.
