Culebra, the location of Mamacitas, is a beautiful Island in the Caribbean almost exactly between the "big" island of Puerto Rico PR and St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Culebra is approximately 7 miles by 4 miles and has been noted as the best little secret in the Caribbean.

Sometimes referred to as one of the Spanish Virgin Islands (along with its sister Island, Vieques), Culebra has some of the most beautiful, unpopulated, secluded, environmentally protected beaches in the world. Many of which have coral reefs stemming from shore. Travel activities in Culebra include, but are not limited to, snorkeling, swimming, deep sea fishing, sailing, diving, sea kayaking, biking, shopping, or just hanging out at the beach while getting away from it all.

    You are invited to enjoy Mamacita's rustic Caribbean dining and bar tradition. Our chefs take the time to prepare your individual meal to delight your personal taste. Entrees are especially seasoned; original sauces and desserts are created to assure that you receive a uniquely delicious and unhurried dining experience. Mamacita's specialties include selected seafood, steaks, and home made desserts. In addition to your regular menu, a special entree is prepared each day. Your chef also creates his own special meal for you on weekends. Distinctive and Interesting wines are suggested for you to complement particular meals. Each day, your bartender offers a special beverage for your enjoyment before and after dinner.

    Policies
    • Reservation requests that are made online are subject to availability. We will respond to your request as soon as possible. For immediate confirmation, please make your reservations by phone, (787) 742-0090. Our office hours are 10 am until 9 pm Monday thru Sunday.
    • All rooms have either a Full size bed or a Queen Size bed. Some apartments have futon beds as well.
    • Children under 9 (maximum of 2 kids per room) stay in parents' room FREE!
    • Credit cards accepted: VISA, MasterCard and American Express.
    • Prices subject to change and are based on double occupancy per night. Add $15 for each additional person age 10 and over.
    • 9% hotel tax, 8% service fee is additional.
    • Check-in: 3 pm. Check-out: 11 am. When available a late check out is permitted for an additional $20. Ask front desk either when placing your reservation or when checking into Mamacitas Guest House to see if a late checkout is available.
    • Law #40 of the Government of Puerto Rico prohibits smoking inside of all hotels rooms.
    • Tropical Weather Policy: If you can't get to Culebra Island due to a hurricane or a tropical storm, we'll offer you a full refund or credit on a future stay.
    • Deposits: All reservations require a deposit of 50% of the total cost of your stay including taxes, services fees and extra person charges. A minimum of 1 night deposit is required.
